Shira Etting is a partner at the Vintage Venture Capital Fund and leads the fund’s investments in the fields of climate and health.
After volunteering for a year of service at the Youth Village of Honesty, she enlisted in a pilot course and graduated as a combat helicopter pilot.
She served for about 8 years and since choosing to be discharged from the army, she has dedicated her professional life to environmental, social and business work.Shira holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and computer science from Ben Gurion University and a master’s degree in environmental science from Oxford University.
After completing her studies abroad, she interned at the Ministry of Economics on behalf of the Milken Program, worked at the strategic consulting firm McKinsey, and then led the Bnei Zion preparatory school while attempting to rehabilitate it after the disaster at Nahal Tzafit. As part of her reserve service, she serves as a flight instructor at the Air Force Flight School. She is a member of the board of directors of the Sha’ar Shivyon association and an advisory committee of “Tohu.”
