Thanks to Keshet’s DAF mechanism, the giving process in Israel becomes more accessible, efficient, and simple. Keshet’s innovative infrastructure enables complete separation between donation decision and timing of actual transfer, allowing deposit of funds designated for future donation and receiving immediate tax credit of up to 35% on full deposit amount.

Through Keshet’s unique DAF mechanism, you can receive immediate tax credit of up to 35% on the full deposit amount while maintaining flexibility to plan donation timing according to your personal giving strategy.

  • Cash – New shekels and foreign currencies accepted by Israeli banks
  • Tradable stocks – with capital gains tax exemption
  • Real estate – after appraisal and minimum value of NIS 1,000,000
  • Collection items and art – at fund’s sole discretion

Yes, Keshet enables you to transfer funds from the USA to your donation account through three options:

  • P.E.F. Israel Endowment Funds, Inc.
  • JFN – Jewish Funders Network (for donations of $10,000 and above)
  • Transfer from DAF account in USA

Yes. The minimum amount for opening account is 100,000 NIS.

Keshet enables you to choose between making an anonymous grant and fully disclosing your role as donor. You can also designate your grant to be made on behalf of someone else, and to have it bear their name.

Yes. Keshet is obligated by Israeli law to act in accordance with section 46A, regarding grants to organizations.

Donors cannot recommend a grant in the following cases:

  • To specific individuals (or a grant to an organization established to benefit a specific individual in some way).
  • To political parties or campaigns.
  • To institutions or programs in which the account owner or beneficiaries will receive personal benefits, including salaries, tuition or other personal remuneration.
  • To institutions that are connected with anti-democratic or terrorist activities, or that are suspected of criminal activity.

Absolutely. Keshet provides professional guidance and consultation as needed by expert team with deep familiarity with social sector and various giving areas.

Keshet charges graduated operational fees, no more than 1% of amount in donation account. Additionally, if you decide to manage donation funds as investment in investment house, management fees of 0.5% of amount will be charged. Therefore, maximum costs won’t exceed 1.5% of amount in donation account.
