From now on you can provide social impact loans – from your own personal donation account!
Keshet’s unique collaboration with Ogen
Ogen is a social and financial group – that provides loans to small businesses and NPOs.
Until today, the minimum amount for granting an Impact Loan to Ogen has been $1 million.
Keshet has now opened the door for Israeli donors wishing to participate in impact loans using much lower amounts.
One of the Keshet philanthropists who has paved the way for other likeminded donors is Eugene Fooksman, a high-tech entrepreneur and one of the founders of WhatsApp.
Fooksman lent $1 million to Ogen through Keshet, thus fulfilling the organization’s minimum loan requirement.
As a result, any Keshet donor can join the endeavor with a minimum amount of just NIS 100,000.
How does it work?
You can allocate a selected amount of the total funds in your Keshet account,to be used as an interest-bearing impact loan to Ogen, for a period of 5 years.
At the end of the period, the amount will be refunded to your account, along with accrued interest, and you can proceed to donate it to social causes close to your heart!
