Introduction

Welcome to the website of Keshet Donor-Advised Fund (Keshet D.A.F. Ltd., PBC) (hereinafter: “Keshet”), available at keshet-il.org (hereinafter: the “Website”). The Website provides information in various areas, including general information about Keshet and its services, information relevant to donors and grant-seeking organizations, as well as articles and content (hereinafter collectively: the “Services”) for the Website users, including donors, organizations, and individuals interested in philanthropy (hereinafter: the “Users” and/or “you”).

We respect the privacy of our Users and consider this document important, as it sets out, among other things, how Keshet collects and uses information.

Access to and use of the Website are subject to this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use, which together constitute a binding legal agreement between the User and Keshet. Use of this Website constitutes your consent to all terms, conditions, and notices herein.

Keshet may suspend or discontinue operation of the Website, in whole or in part, temporarily and/or permanently, at any time, including for updates, upgrades, repairs, adjustments, or due to availability issues, disruptions, or failures in the internet network or telephone network of any kind. The User hereby irrevocably waives any claim and shall be barred and estopped from bringing any demand and/or legal action in connection with the foregoing.

This document is written in the masculine form for convenience only, and applies equally to all genders. Thank you for taking the time to read this document.


Collection of Personal Information

Information You Provide

In certain cases, we may request personal identifying information such as: full name, gender, address, email address, Israeli ID number, phone number, and similar details.

Such information may be stored in Keshet’s systems and, subject to your consent (as indicated where applicable), may be used for handling your inquiry or contacting donors or grant-seeking organizations, improving the services provided by Keshet, and for direct marketing regarding conferences and events held by or on behalf of Keshet.

Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Services, information is collected from the mobile phone or other device you use to access the Services. This information may include, among other things (but is not limited to): the device’s IP address, device ID or unique identifier, device type, geographic location data, computer and connection information, mobile network information, statistical data regarding page views, traffic to and from the Website, referring URL, advertising data, web log data, and other standard information. We also collect anonymous information through cookies and web beacons.

Information Received from Third Parties

Keshet may receive information about you through third parties, including, without limitation: banks and government authorities (such as the Israel Tax Authority). It is clarified that responsibility for verifying your data rests solely with the relevant third party, and Keshet shall bear no legal or other responsibility in connection with the retention or use of incorrect and/or outdated information received from third parties.


Databases

The information you provide to Keshet (as required depending on the type of service you request), as well as any information collected about you in connection with the Services you registered for and/or your use of the Website, will be stored in Keshet’s registered databases. We will use the information in accordance with applicable law and this Privacy Policy.


Personal Information About Others

If you provide us with personal information about another person (for example, family members or others), you must inform them in advance that you are providing their details and obtain their consent for the uses of their information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you consent on behalf of another person to receive advertisements (see below), you must also ensure in advance that they agree to this.


Use of Information

Keshet collects the information described above in order to provide you with access to and use of the Services, and to assist in tailoring the experience for donors and grant recipients. Keshet will use your personal information in accordance with this document, including for direct marketing; offering lectures, conferences, and seminars; registering you and providing Services that may interest you; verifying your identity; improving your user experience; measuring the Website’s performance; and improving its content and design, and similar purposes.


Disclosure of Information to Third Parties

For the purposes detailed in this Privacy Policy, we may disclose information relating to you to third parties and other recipients, as described below:

  • At your request and/or with your explicit consent.

  • Keshet service providers: We engage external companies and various third parties who provide solutions and services that complement our Services or support our operations. These may include data hosting services, payment processing, information security and cyber protection, data monitoring and analytics, email distribution services, advertising and marketing, social media, content providers, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, support services, and legal, accounting, and other professional advisors (collectively: “Service Providers”). Service Providers may access information relating to you as required to provide their services to Keshet.

  • Sharing non-identifiable information with public entities for regulatory and budgetary oversight purposes (such as the Registrar of Associations/Corporations, the Israel Tax Authority, etc.).

  • Conferences and events: For the purpose of holding conferences and inviting you to them, we may provide your registration details to others, including the organizer, host and/or sponsor of the event, the service providers and speakers, so that they may contact you with relevant offers and information, or for Keshet’s marketing and promotional activities.

  • Compliance with law and court orders: If required by a judicial authority or law enforcement bodies, we may disclose information relating to you or provide access to such information, if we believe in good faith that: (a) we are under a legal obligation to do so (for example, by court order or a binding request from a competent authority); (b) it is necessary for investigating, preventing, or thwarting illegal activities, torts, or other suspected or known offenses; and/or (c) it is required to protect Keshet’s operations and the integrity of the Website.

  • Additional disclosures: We may share information relating to you in other ways if you have provided your consent, if we are legally required to do so, or if we have anonymized the information so that it cannot identify you.


Your Rights Regarding Your Personal Information

You may submit a request to the email address info@keshet-il.org to review personal information relating to you that is stored with us, and, where appropriate, request that we correct or delete such information. It is clarified that such requests do not reflect an absolute right, and there may be circumstances in which we are permitted or required to refuse to provide, correct, or delete the requested information, in whole or in part, together with reasons as required under the Protection of Privacy Law.


Information Security

Keshet implements information security systems on the Website. While these systems reduce the risks of unauthorized intrusion, they do not provide absolute security. If you have concerns regarding certain information, please avoid transmitting such information through the Website.

You undertake not to perform any action intended to unlawfully access Keshet’s systems, scan for access routes or vulnerabilities, breach security or encryption mechanisms protecting the Website and/or the information therein, or assist in any such actions.

The Website may allow access to personal information in various Keshet systems using a username and password. In such cases, you must take basic protective measures on the device you use to access the Services, including:

  • Setting a device authentication method, such as a password of at least 7 characters, fingerprint, pattern, etc.

  • Enabling automatic device lock after 5 minutes of inactivity.

  • Installing antivirus software.

  • Applying security updates in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

  • We also recommend not disclosing the one-time password you receive from Keshet to any party.

  • You may choose an automatic login option (“Remember me”) by instructing the system to store your login details.

  • Please note: if you do not log out of the Website and/or your mobile device is not restarted, access to the Website may be possible without re-entering your account details even if the SIM card is replaced. Therefore, if you transfer your mobile device to another person—even if they use a different SIM card—please ensure you log out of the Website or restart the device before handing it over.

You may not allow another person to use your account. You must notify Keshet of any unauthorized use of your account so that we can take appropriate measures via the support portal at keshet-il.org or by email at info@keshet-il.org.


Marketing and Consent to Receive Promotional Messages

We will not sell or grant a license to use your personal information to any third party for its own marketing purposes without your explicit consent. Keshet may send you direct marketing communications in accordance with the Protection of Privacy Law, 1981.

You may opt out of direct marketing at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email you receive from us, or by sending a message to info@keshet-il.org.

The Website may contain links to other websites or internet resources. When you click such links, you will be directed to another website or resource, which may collect information about you voluntarily or through cookies or other technologies. Keshet is not responsible for, does not assume liability for, and does not control such websites or resources or their collection, use, or disclosure of personal information.
